Living former Senators
As of JanuaryĆ 2018, there are seven living former Senators from Minnesota. The most recent former senator to die was Wendell R. Anderson on July 17, 2016. The most recently serving senator to die was Paul Wellstone, who died in office on October 25, 2002.
